Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?
I use acrylic paint on canvas as I feel this works best with my style - luscious and flowing colour that dries quickly and I can use freely. The colour range is wonderful.
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?
I initially paint the canvas red as this lends the final painting a warmth. I then sketch out the subject matter and block in colour.
Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?
I have a separate studio on my property - it’s similar to a shipping container and is placed among gumtrees - it’s very tranquil and soothing.
