Gentle paintings inspired by quiet moments, emotion, and a playful sense of imagination.

I create soft, gentle paintings inspired by nature and emotion, and a sense of folk-like warmth, more an interpretation of what I see and feel than something strictly realistic.

I’m a Japanese artist currently based in Australia. My work is inspired by quiet moments, nature, and small emotional shifts in everyday life.

Rather than painting things exactly as they are, I focus on my own interpretation — simplifying forms and using soft colours to create a calm, gentle feeling.

I hope my work brings a sense of calm, warmth, or connection to those who see it.

Artist Interview
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

Most of my ideas begin with a feeling, a colour combination, or a quiet moment that stays in my mind. I usually start by sketching loosely and letting the painting evolve naturally as I work. Once a piece is finished, I photograph and prepare everything myself, from editing and printing to packaging and sharing the work online.

Tell us a bit about your story and how you came to be an artist

I’ve loved drawing for as long as I can remember, but becoming an artist never felt like a real possibility to me. For a long time, painting on canvas felt intimidating, until one day I finally gave it a try. I loved it instantly, and hearing people connect with my work gave me the courage to keep going. Not long after, friends began asking to buy my paintings, and for the first time I realised art could become something more than just a quiet personal passion. Since then, I’ve spent almost every day thinking about new ideas, learning new skills, and slowly building a creative life around what I love most. I’m still learning every day, from painting and photography to printing, packaging, and sharing my work with others. I’ve always loved paper, books, and collecting little printed things, so even wrapping orders feels special to me. I'v never been the most confident person when it comes to speaking or expressing myself, but art has always felt different. Through painting, I've been able to connect with people in a way that feels honest and meaningful to me. Creating that sense of connection through my work has become one of the most important parts of being an artist.
