Jessica is a Tasmanian based artist. Drawing inspiration from the everyday gestures of a fleeting moment. Her works are a response to basic forms that are present within everyday living. Female energy always plays an integral role in her works, with each work evolving beyond its simplistic form.
Jessica's compositions are kept simple to allow the focus to be on the realistic rendering. The palette of her work evokes the sacred feminine energy, being soft, grounded and nurturing. Her works pull forms from nature and the human body because of the essence the elements evoke.

Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?
Primarily oil paint. I love how oils allow you to create layers and depth in an artwork. I combine the use of traditional techniques with the freedom of my own style.
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?
I have managed to really establish my art practice over the years, creating compositions that feel balanced and work well together. I love to have that foundational idea and see how far I can grow it.
