Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

I primarily work with flat acrylic paints on linen surfaces. This allows me to achieve the bold, vibrant colour palettes that define my work while offering the flexibility to layer, refine, and experiment with form.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

My background in digital art has influenced my approach—before bringing a piece to life on canvas, I often develop compositions digitally, using it as a tool for exploration and refinement. This blend of digital and traditional techniques enables me to create work that feels both graphic and expressive, balancing precision with spontaneity.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

My studio is based at home, and it’s a space that really reflects my creative process—bright, organised, and full of energy. I like to keep things functional yet inspiring, with plenty of natural light and a setup that allows me to move between digital work and painting seamlessly. Having a home studio gives me the flexibility to create at any time, whether that means sketching out new ideas on my iPad or diving into a large-scale canvas. It’s a space where I can fully immerse myself in colour, form, and experimentation, making it an essential part of my artistic practice.
