Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?
Andrea ignites her canvas with loose mark making & acrylics leading to the addition of mixed media collected thru her life & travels. The painting will determine what it calls for
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?
Generally a large canvas is her preference then stretched & box framed in Tasmanian oak timber. Work on Italian water colour paper is sometimes a preferred surface finished with a mount, professionally framed & ready to hang.
Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?
Andrea is fortunate to work from her amazing studio in South Yarra with wonderful space & light & is also open to walk in customers resulting in sales as well.
