Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?
I use acrylic on canvas mainly due to the simplicity.
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?
I can take inspiration from nature like a sunset or a summer storm brewing on the horizon or something more personal like time with my family. I then lay down the bottom coat which is more of free flowing process. After that the artwork becomes a composite of multiple layers to tell the story.
Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?
My work space is fairly chaotic. I like to be working on multiple pieces so if I'm in a good flow state I don't have to stop to let the paint dry. I can have up to 10 pieces laying around that I work on at any moment.
