Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?
I have painted in the past with acrylics however I now have a love of oils and their buttery nature and slower drying time.
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?
I can sometimes take hundreds of photos, followed by hours of narrowing down the right photo. It drives my husband crazy! I am very particular in what I choose to put on my canvas. It has to tell a story. Countless hours and drying time later, the piece is finally resolved.
Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?
I work from home in a small studio and often paint to french cafe music.
