Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

I work with charcoal, acrylic, and oil paints, often drawing repeatedly on the canvas. I choose these materials because they let me respond quickly to what emerges as I work, allowing the figures and forms to evolve naturally.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

My artwork begins with quick sketches and ideas that come to me naturally. I start making marks on the canvas and let the figures and colours grow layer by layer. I choose materials that let me respond quickly to what appears. As the painting develops, I refine the story and details. Once the work feels complete, I prepare it, photograph it, and share it with galleries for selection. From there it is packed, delivered, and shown in the exhibition.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

I work from Nauti Studio, a creative hub that brings many emerging artists together. The space is lively, supportive, and full of ideas, which keeps me inspired in my daily practice.
